Is it difficult to always mention the username?

It’s easy! Yes! It is!

I already posted a question about this. @ruby3881 told me what I’m doing to get the username is the fastest. I just found another way which I think is the fastest. You just need to turn on your Dictionary and Auto-correction then add hot keys to your Keyboard Shortcuts. If you are using Apple, go to Settings>General>Keyboards>Shortcuts. Click on the + sign and add the username and shortcut you want. I think all brands have these options. I just added @ruby3881. In Phrase field, I typed @ruby3881 and in Shortcut field, I typed ky, the first two letters of her first name. So whenever I type ky, the dictionary has 2 suggestions, ky and @ruby3881.

Let me try to add all of my friends. I have listed their name, username and the hotkey or shortcut I’ll use every time I mention them. Also check if it’s character sensitive. In my case, username and shortcut should be small letters only.

1. Deborah K. Mitchell, @debbiekay, de
2. Paulose, @paulose, ps
3. luciaanna, @lucianna, lu
4. SHOHANA RAHMAN, @shohana, sh
5. Shakeel, @karasiwa, sha
6. Margielynn, @margielynn, ma
7. Rajaraman K, @raaman, ra
8. uma, @umakapur, um
9. Arshad Mahmood Azam, @arshadniazi, ar
10. Vince, @iggy, vi
11. Ajay Bhagat, @ajay, aj
12. saminac, @saminac, sa
13. Eva, @wolfgirl569, ev
14. Nalini, @nalini, na
15. Susmitha Anoop, @susmithaanoop, su
16. Annette R. Smith, @annettewrites, an
17. S.Sawant, @siddhinfo, ss
18. Coral Levang, @corallevang, co

Success! I encountered duplicates but I was able to correct them because iPad told me the hot key is already taken. Genius iPad!

Yes, definitely this is a faster way to insert the username once you know it :)

Good for you, sharing the shortcut with everyone! I’m going to post the link for this question in the Facebook group as well, so everyone can see it :)

Be sure to always check what your dictionary accepts but I’m sure you always do, @ruby3881. I was chatting with @cdjran in Messenger few minutes ago. I laughed out loud because it’s too late when I noticed my dictionary sent @saminac instead of sa. Sa is a Filipino counterpart of English prepositions in, on, to, from, into, etc. I should have chosen sa by clicking on it instead of pressing on space bar which accepts @saminac. Lesson learned!
